The Archive for Spoken German (Archiv für Gesprochenes Deutsch, AGD) is a research data centre for corpora of spoken German. It is part of the program area ‘Oral Corpora’ in the pragmatics department of the Leibniz Institute for the German language . The AGD curates corpora from research projects, archives them, and makes them available for reuse in research and teaching.
The MinGLA network was established in 2019 during the Eichstätt conference *“*German and Other Germanic Minority Languages in Latin America: Methods, Fundamentals, Case Studies” (‘Deutsche und weitere germanische Sprachminderheiten in Lateinamerika: Methoden, Grundlagen, Fallstudien’). It aims to connect research on minority Germanic languages in Latin America and is open to anyone working in this field.
The aim of the network is to bring together young researchers working on similar topics in the field of German linguistic minority research. Within this network, workshops, colloquia, lecture series, anthologies and ultimately also joint research proposals can be created.
